The group that swept the Korean music industry in early 2009 with the "Gee syndrome", SNSD, is aiming to do so again.
SNSD's company SM Entertainment said that SNSD will comeback on the 25th with their second mini album. They are receiving a lot of attention because of their record numbers in album sales, mobile downloads, online charts, and all music charts, as well as creating the record of being number 1 for 9 weeks on KBS Mubank.
SNSD is looking to change once again for this mini album and is also aiming to create another SNSD craze. The company said that the second mini album contains all of SNSD's charms as well as great music that will show the public the power of SNSD.
"We are happy to come back with a new song and a new performance." SNSD said, "We are all working hard so anticipate our transformation and support us."

Last week, Timeout had the opportunity to meet two of South Korea’s top pop groups Super Junior and Girls’ Generation.
Girls’ Generation is a nine member girl band that debutted in 2007.
How did the bands choose their names?
Girls’ Generation: The reason we chose the band name Girls’ Generation is that we wanted there to be a girl’s generation. It’s simple.
How do you manage to keep the band together?
GG: We have nine members and we knew each other before the band was formed. We are very friendly with each other and we always work together. We’re grown up so we don’t have any fights.
What does the Asian market mean to you and how do you intend to reach out to so many countries with so many different languages?
GG: As we are promoting ourselves to international audiences, communication is really important. But I think it’ll be ok as long as we are in their heart.
How do you feel about being idolised? And who are your favourite musicians?
GG: Being an idol for young people is great. Even though we are young, we think we can follow our dreams and try to achieve success.
We love Boa. She is popular not only in South Korea but is also well known elsewhere in the world. She’s made a lot of effort to learn how to break into the international market. Almost all the members from Girls’ Generation want to be like Boa.

Popular groups, SNSD and Super Junior became the first idol groups to appear on MBC 'Music Trip Lalala'.
SNSD Taeyeon, Jessica, Seohyun, Sunny, and Tiffany as well as Super Junior finished recording 'Lalala' on the 3rd.
Kim Changwan, who is part of the group, Sanwoollim, hosts 'Lalala' which is mostly a live performance music program for currently promoting main and non-mainstream groups to sing their songs. Since this program is based on an honest talk with live performance, idol groups have never appeared on the show once from the first time it aired in November and until now.
On the 5th, 'Lalala' producer shared his reason of having them on the show by saying "SNSD and Super Junior are extremely popular groups, but we invited them on the show to take a look at their different side in music".
The producer asked SNSD and Super Junior two months ago to find songs that fit the program.
SNSD and Super Junior chose famous movie O.S.T songs and were able to sing without any problems.
SNSD sang 'Mama Mia O.S.T' Honey, Honey' and 'Pounds Beauty's 'Beauty Girl', while Super Junior sang 'Notting Hill' O.S.T 'She', etc and showed their splendid singing talents.
Also, SNSD and Super Junior sang newly arranged versions of each other's popular song, 'Gee' and 'Sorry,Sorry' and have been attracting a level of expectation from fans.
The program manager said "I heard that they have practiced for at least a month. SNSD and Super Junior sang extremely well" and showed an expectation.

Eyes have been on the current star, Kwon Sangwoo as he has a surprising kiss scene with SNSD Yoona in the MBC Wednesday, Thursday drama 'Cinderella Man'.
'Cinderella Man' that will end on the 4th has given hints to the TV viewers that the major male and female characters, Kwon Sangwoo and Yoona will have kiss scenes and end in a happy ending. The dimensions for the stars' congratulation newspaper ads, which started to boom in the later half of last year, are around 10cm x10cm. People in the fanclub gather money for the ad and they also decide on which design to use.

SNSD's member Taeyeon mourned deeply the passing of Ex-President Roh Moohyun.
She started her program, MBC FM4U 'Taeyeon's Close Friends', on the 29th saying, "When there is a road that nobody goes through, everybody avoids it. Most people choose the safer way, but sometimes there are people who choose to do the opposite."
"Today, in your lead, many people are following you close behind, and already made a new road. Today was the funeral ceremony of Ex-President Roh Moohyun. The pall bearing car slowly made it's way through the crowd with many people following it close behind, and in no time it become a new road. In his life and in his death, he was a person who always walked a different road," Taeyeon said, honoring his memory.
On that day's broadcast, the music played were mainly calm songs to mourn the passing of ex-president Roh, and letters from the radio listeners were read on air, making Taeyeon unable to hide her tears in between each one. Near the end of the program Taeyeon said, "Today I want to sing," and she performed live Kim Yeonwoo's 'The Common Words of I Love You'.

Last year, the the girl group activity was busier than ever. Wondergirls was in the center of it all, and the representative girl group SNSD led the fever this year.
Last year, Wondergirls showed to be most active, creating a girl-group wave with their song "Nobody." Wondergirls made everybody point their fingers and do the gun dance to the song, and gathered a lot of momentum to hold their first concert. On Mnet chart, the album reached the top just two days after it went on sale, and it also placed first for 5 weeks.
Likewise, SNSD continued on this fever for girl groups this year. SNSD was noticeably popular not only in the music world, but they also appeared on shows and CF's very frequently because of their song, "Gee". It deserved to be called the "Gee" wave.
